SHARON Commins, the aid worker who spent 106 days in captivity in Darfur, visited the University of Limerick this Monday and gave a presentation on the topic of security management in the aid sector. Education Minister confirms during UL seminar that college fees are to increase again
THE Minister for Education and Skills confirmed last Thursday (February 2) that college registration fees are set to increase to €3,000 next year. Speaking at the Issues in Irish Journalism seminar at the University of Limerick, Ruairi Quinn announced that fees will receive another €750 hike, following last December’s budget decision to increase fees to €2,250. “There has been a squeeze on the administration fund, and this will continue for the next few years,” Minister Quinn added during the seminar.
